Graduate\u00a0education is a core mission of the Medical School.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the curricula and execution of\u00a0all graduate programs, including recruitment,\u00a0admissions, ongoing program activities, new program development, student outcomes and graduate alumni relations.\u00a0Develop and apply metrics to measure program quality\u00a0and support adjustments as necessary for all graduate programs.<\/li>\n<li>Support the well-being of graduate students and postdoctoral associates.<\/li>\n<li>Support the collaboration of the Basic Science and Clinical departments in education and graduate student research.\u00a0This integration is a core value and a strategic advantage of\u00a0BU health sciences, to be fostered by GMS leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Represent BUSM in discussions of inter-School and University-wide\u00a0graduate educational initiatives on policy related\u00a0issues involving graduate education across the University.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a member of the senior leadership teams of the School of Medicine, involved in important decisions concerning budgets, long-range planning, and faculty hiring, promotion and retention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interested faculty, please send cover letter and CV to busmdean@bu.edu.
