\"COM_research<\/p>\n

I. Call for Summer Research Projects for Medical Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Office of Enrichment is currently soliciting research experiences for medical students for summer 2017. The Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP) introduces first-year students to the principles of research and provides a mentorship experience with a BUMC faculty member. Student applications are due March 24, 2017.<\/p>\n

Each scholarship is $2400 (for seven weeks of full-time research). If you are interested in mentoring a student for a summer research project, we invite you to add your experience to our list of internal (BUMC) research experiences for medical students; to do this, e-mail Ana Gregory<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

II. Medical Student Summer Research Symposium: Feb. 13, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are invited to the annual BUSM Medical Student Summer Research Symposium, Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, Hiebert Lounge. The day highlights the work of second-year medical students who completed research last summer. The symposium will include a one-hour session (1-2 p.m.) for student oral presentations. You are encouraged to attend any or all of the event.<\/p>\n
