He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Rush Medical Center in Chicago and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Nationwide Children\u2019s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He joined our community in July 2018 as a pediatric anesthesiologist. Currently, he <\/span>serves as the director for the Medical Student Anesthesiology Elective and Clinical Clerkships, as well as the lead faculty student advisor for students interested in anesthesiology.<\/p>\n<p>His nominators said, \u201cDr. Ramirez is an excellent teacher who emphasizes compassion, care and patient safety.
