Conferred by one of the world\u2019s preeminent organizations of cardiovascular and stroke professionals, the FAHA is recognition &#8220;for excellence, innovative and sustained contributions in the areas of scholarship, practice and\/or education, and volunteer service within the AHA\/ASA.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/camed\/files\/2017\/04\/h_butoday_KRavidInLab15.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Katya Ravid, DSc\" class=\"alignright wp-image-46583\" width=\"340\" height=\"227\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ravid is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/camed\/2021\/04\/07\/katya-ravid-named-inaugural-incumbent-barbara-e-corkey-professor-of-medicine\/\">Barbara E. Corkey Professor of Medicine<\/a>, a professor of biochemistry, biology, health sciences at the School, and a Fulbright Research Scholar.
