Serrano, a Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine assistant professor of vascular biology, recently started her own lab at the <a href=\"https:\/\/crem.bu.edu\/about-us\/\">Center for Regenerative Medicine<\/a> (CReM) and realized it gave her the perfect opportunity to incorporate eco-friendly practices.<\/p>\n<p>Serrano and her group proposed researching better ways the University\u2019s labs could recycle, reuse materials, and reduce energy use to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/igs\/research\/campus-climate-lab\/\">BU Campus Climate Lab<\/a> and they were one of 21 teams awarded Campus Climate Lab funding this school year.
