With almost 727 medical degree students and more than 985 master\u2019s and doctoral degree candidates, the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine\u2019s curriculum reflects the needs of a diverse student population. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We offer nine pathways to the MD\u2014more than any other US school. We emphasize self-directed learning, teamwork and practical experience: our students meet with patients in the first week of their first year. Our fourth-year emphasis on helping students find electives all over the world is considered a national model, one that other schools have adopted.<\/p>\n

Philanthropy can have a transformative effect on the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine\u2019s educational environment and its students. Current-use and endowed scholarships<\/strong><\/a> help us attract and enroll the most promising applicants, regardless of their economic status, and support for our student residence hall<\/span><\/strong><\/a> provides students with an affordable housing option in our increasingly expensive neighborhood, reducing some students\u2019 commute from two hours to two minutes.<\/p>\n
