Student Government<\/h4>\n

The Student Committee on Medical School Affairs (SCOMSA)<\/a> represents and advocates for the student body. In addition to supporting medical students through allocating funding for on campus events, conference & travel, and wellness-related initiatives, SCOMSA also oversees medical student groups. SCOMSA’s mission is to serve and embody the interests of the student body. It strives to empower students to initiate and organize meaningful activities, foster a sense of community across all classes, advocate on their behalf to the administration, and above all, support them in becoming the physicians they aspire to be. <\/span>For more information, visit the SCOMSA website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Medical Student Organizations<\/h4>\n

The Student Affairs Office in collaboration with the Student Government (SCOMSA) supports more than 90 student organizations covering a variety of interest areas. By engaging through these organizations, students nurture their humanism, professionalism, leadership, and well-being beyond the classroom and clinic.<\/span><\/p>\n
