Avedisian School of Medicine faculty member who has been an exceptional research mentor to BU Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine medical and\/or graduate students in a range of research activities that include but are not limited to biomedical research, clinical research, educational research.<\/article>\n<article role=\"main\"><\/article>\n<article role=\"main\"><\/article>\n<article role=\"main\" class=\"post-125196 page type-page status-publish hentry\"><strong>Categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>MD<\/strong> \u2013 Research mentor to medical students<\/li>\n<li><strong>GMS<\/strong> \u2013 Research mentor to PhD and\/or Master\u2019s students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All BU Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine faculty who are involved in mentoring BU Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine medical and\/or graduate students for their research projects and have been faculty at least 3 years.<\/li>\n<li>Each category of award is a lifetime achievement award; thus, cannot be a previous category winner, however, is eligible for other category (i.e. MD category winner is eligible for GMS &amp; vice versa).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Criteria for nomination: <\/strong>Though these criteria are not exhaustive, competitive nominees will have demonstrated some of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide valuable <strong>guidance and support<\/strong> throughout the research project(s).<\/li>\n<li>Committed to <strong>students\u2019 career development, and professional development<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Enhance the student\u2019s research skills<\/strong>, including experimental techniques, data analysis, problem-solving and scientific writing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inspire diverse <\/strong>students by being a role model within the academic and research community.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Receive positive feedback from students<\/strong> regarding the research mentorship experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Assist student\u2019s <strong>research output and involvement in research publications<\/strong> at conferences or other scholarly activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who can nominate:<\/strong> Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine Students and recent graduates<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nomination Process:<\/strong> A formal nomination letter addressing the most outstanding research mentoring attributes of the faculty based on above criteria should be submitted to BU Chobanian &amp;
