{"id":129514,"date":"2025-01-20T18:10:01","date_gmt":"2025-01-20T23:10:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/camed\/?page_id=129514"},"modified":"2025-09-25T09:19:23","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T13:19:23","slug":"bu-chobanian-avedisian-som-excellence-in-faculty-mentorship-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/camed\/offices-services\/faculty-affairs-office\/bu-chobanian-avedisian-som-excellence-in-faculty-mentorship-award\/","title":{"rendered":"BU Chobanian &#038; Avedisian SOM Excellence in Faculty Mentorship Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Excellence in Faculty Mentorship Award recognizes BU Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine faculty who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to mentoring faculty as part of their work, including peer-to-peer, near-peer mentorship, and assisting early career and mid-career faculty in developing their careers.<\/p>\n<p>This award will be given to one faculty in each category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Categories of Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Early Career Mentorship Award<\/strong>: Instructors and Assistant Professors<\/li>\n<li><strong>Senior Mentorship Award<\/strong>: Associate Professors and Professors (both modified &amp; unmodified titles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BU Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine faculty for at least 3 years.<\/li>\n<li>Each category of award is a lifetime achievement award; thus, cannot be a previous category winner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Criteria for nomination: <\/strong>Though these criteria are not exhaustive, competitive nominees will have demonstrated some of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide advice, feedback, and guidance on all aspects of academic life.
