The AEO also hosts workshops and panel presentations regarding study enhancement, time management, and balancing priorities while in medical school.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Accommodations for Learning<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<p>Students who wish to request accommodations\u00a0for learning\u00a0at the school<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>can do so through Disability &amp; Access Services. Please review the process, below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Overview of\u00a0 the Process<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The student schedules an initial\u00a0meeting with the Academic Enhancement Office (AEO) to discuss learning accommodation needs, and<span>\u00a0ensure that proper testing documentation has been completed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The student will submit the appropriate documentation to Disability &amp; Access Services on the Charles River Campus.<\/li>\n<li>The Director of Disability &amp; Access Services will review the student\u2019s documentation and send recommended accommodations to the Dean for review and approval.<\/li>\n<li>The Dean\u2019s Office will send a letter of approval to Disability &amp; Access Services and the Academic Enhancement Office, and the student.<\/li>\n<li>The Academic Enhancement Office will notify Course &amp; Clerkship Coordinators and Directors of all approved accommodations for students.<\/li>\n<li>Students are\u00a0encouraged to initiate ongoing communication with their Course and Clerkship Coordinators and Directors regarding the logistics of their approved accommodations.<\/li>\n<li>Students are responsible for monitoring their needs as they progress through the curriculum, and communicating with the Course Coordinators and Directors and\/or Clerkship Coordinators and Directors, as well as the Academic Enhancement Office.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To get started schedule an appointment with Dean Paige Curran (<a href=\"mailto:pkcurran@bu.edu\">pkcurran@bu.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to working with you!<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Important Links<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/disability\/\">Disability &amp; Access Services<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bu-accommodate.symplicity.com\/public_accommodation\/\">Request for Accommodations Form<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Peer Tutoring Program<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The AEO offers a Peer Tutoring Program for all medical school students enrolled in the medical school curriculum. This service is available free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>Course and Clerkship Directors hire knowledge students to serve as tutors for each course and clerkship.
