Paper forms will significantly extend the processing time, which can take longer than 6 weeks. Submitting electronically can reduce processing to less than 4 weeks.<\/li>\n<li>The Registrar&#8217;s Office will email the form to the NBME.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Verification Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NBME will verify your eligibility and process your application.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processing time is <strong>4-6 weeks<\/strong> (digital submissions are processed on the lower end, paper submissions may take longer than 6 weeks).<\/li>\n<li>You will be notified by email\/letter if there are any issues with your application.<\/li>\n<li>You will be notified when your scheduling permit is posted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scheduling Your Test Date<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>November\/December:<\/strong> Use your Scheduling Permit to reserve a test date.\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Take a photo of the Scheduling Permit and make a copy.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Following the instructions on your Scheduling Permit, contact <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prometric.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prometric Test Center<\/a> to schedule your test date.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BRING your permit with you when you take your test<\/strong><\/span>.
