The abbreviated name Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine should be used in all written communication, as well as on business cards, letterhead and email signatures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Use of BUSM or MED on second reference are no longer permitted.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The words \u201cBoston University\u201d or \u201cBU\u201d may precede the names to clarify its affiliation.<\/p>\n Note: There is no preferred acronym.<\/span> The\u00a0initialism\u00a0<\/em>CAMED may ONLY be used in email addresses, URLs and social media handles, and\u00a0Alumni Affiliations <\/strong>(CAMED\u2019XX) to denote school and graduation year for students and alumni.<\/p>\n Note: the permitted use of CAMED does not extend to copy\/content.<\/span><\/p>\n For example, BUSMDean@bu.edu<\/a> has changed to CAMEDDean@bu.edu<\/a> and other email addresses that previously contained \u2018BUSM\u2019 will follow.
