The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine Jeffrey Schneider<\/a>, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeffrey Schneider, MD<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

An assistant dean of graduate medical education, Dr. Schneider is an attending emergency medicine physician, associate chief medical officer and designated institutional official (DIO) at Boston Medical Center and vice president of graduate medical education for the Boston Medical Center Health System. He joined our community as a faculty member in 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His nominators say, \u201cMentorship is a defining feature of Dr. Schneider\u2019s career. For more than 20 years he has advised, mentored and sponsored hundreds of learners \u2013 medical students, residents, fellows and junior faculty. His mentoring relationships are longstanding and deeply influential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA gifted educator, Dr. Schneider has consistently brought forward creative, equity-centered approaches to teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDr. Schneider has consistently developed and supported programs that strengthen community health and engagement both within and beyond the Medical Campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
