The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Medicine\/GIM Simeon D. Kimmel<\/a>, MD, MA, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kimmel is an attending physician in general internal medicine and infectious diseases at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and medical director of Project TRUST<\/a>, the hospital\u2019s harm reduction-focused drop-in center. He came to our community first as a fellow in 2016 before joining the faculty in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His nominators say, \u201cDr. Kimmel is an exceptional addiction medicine and infectious disease researcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe consistently prioritizes mentorship through his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDr. Kimmel has been monumental to development of our clinical research skills and stands as a role model within the research community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
