Shared Instrumentation Grant Program (S10) Internal Submission
SIG Pre-submission Process
The Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) program encourages applications from groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase or upgrade a single item of high-priced, specialized, commercially available instruments or integrated instrumentation system. The minimum award is $50,000. The maximum award is $600,000. Types of instruments supported include, but are not limited to: X-ray diffractometers, mass spectrometers, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, DNA and protein sequencers, biosensors, electron and light microscopes, flow cytometers, and biomedical imagers.
The Associate Dean of Research office, will facilitate an internal pre-submission process to foster collaborative proposals and increase the success rate for the University. This pre-submission process requires that applicants fill out an online form designed to inform Dr. Antman, Dean of Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Provost of your interest in applying for an Shared Instrumentation Grant.
This process is not intended to prevent submission of applications, but to recognize that when multiple applications are being submitted, it may not be possible to centrally support all of them at a competitive level from the Provost’s or the Deans’ resources, providing the opportunity to identify alternative sources of funding.
If you are considering submitting an application please fill out the online form below. The internal submission for the 2023 S10 Shared Instrumentation Grant deadline university-wide is Thursday, April 13, 2023.
