Biography
Dr. Kevin M. Ryan, MD, MBA is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center/Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. He currently serves as Medical Director for Emergency Management at BMC and also serves as Associate Medical Director for BostonEMS. After residency, he pursued a Disaster Medicine Fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and EMS Fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. After joining BMC, he joined the Massachusetts Medical Society Committee on Preparedness, recently completing his term as Chair and currently serves on the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council’s Aquatics Subcommittee. He was also selected to contribute to the U.S. National Water Safety Plan working to develop a national comprehensive drowning safety plan, working as a member of the Rescue/CPR Subgroup. He is interested in prehospital care, drowning related research, and disaster medicine.
