Anna Belkina, MD, PhD, Named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for February

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Director of the Flow Cytometry Core Anna Belkina, MD, PhD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for February.

Belkina received her PhD in molecular medicine from the school of medicine in 2012 and then joined the staff a as a research specialist for Flow Cytometry Core in 2013. She was promoted to senior research specialist of the core in 2015, to associate director in 2018, and to director in 2020. She received a faculty appointment as an assistant professor of pathology & laboratory medicine in 2018.

Her nominators say, “Anna is a world-class expert on flow cytometry and immunology, and is always willing to share her knowledge without hesitation.

“She is a well-respected member of the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) community.

“Anna is an excellent teacher – teaches all aspects of flow cytometry to faculty, students and trainees at all levels!”
