The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine/Geriatrics Megan Young, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for December.

Dr. Young joined our community as a resident in 2006. She now is the geriatrics clerkship director and an assistant dean of student affairs. She also is working with the Massachusetts Serious Illness Coalition to develop a communication curriculum for students at the four medical schools in the state to talk with patients about serious illness and what matters most.

Her nominators say, “She is a wonderful mentor to medical students, residents and geriatric fellows, and all evaluate her highly.

“Dr. Young demonstrates professionalism at all levels – with her patients and students on the wards and at in-home visits.

“Dr. Young was an incredibly helpful and understanding teacher and preceptor!”

Congratulations!
