SIG Shared Instrumentation Grants
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) annually offers funding opportunities for the S10 Biomedical Research Support Shared Instrumentation Grants.
Below are the funding opportunities available for the 2019 Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) programs and pre-submission application forms:
- Shared Instrumentation Grant Program (SIG) (link is external) – Grant awards in the $50,000-$600,000 range.
- Shared Instrumentation for Animal Research Grant Program (SIFAR) (link is external) – Grant awards in the $50,000-$750,000 range to support research using animals or related materials.
- High-End Instrumentation Grant Program (HEI) (link is external) – Grant awards in the $600,001-$2 Million range.
The office of the Associate Dean for Research, BUSM will facilitate an internal pre-submission process to foster collaborative proposals and increase the success rate for the University. This pre-submission process requires that applicants complete an online form designed to ensure that all proposals are reviewed by the Core Advisory Committee, who will assist the Associate Dean for Research, and the Provost with evaluating scientific merit and ensuring that highly-rated applications receive the appropriate level of institutional support to make them most competitive.
The internal deadline for 2019 Shared Instrumentation Grants pre-submission applications is March 19.
