Biography

Dr. Zimering is the Director, Mental Health Outpatient Services at VA Boston Healthcare System. Dr. Zimering received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University. Her research interests are in risk and resilience following traumatic exposure and her current NIMH funded research examines development of PTSD and substance use in firefighters. Additional research interests include assessment of secondary or indirect trauma exposure and developing behavioral health programs for emergency responders.
