Biography

Dr. Simmons is a clinician educator in the Section of Infectious Diseases and an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Boston University. Her focus is on evaluation and assessment of clinical competence, equitable recruitment practices in graduate medical education, and infectious diseases education for internal medicine residents and medical students. Her clinical interests are caring for people with non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections and people living with HIV, and she attends on the internal medicine service and the infectious diseases inpatient consult service.
