Dr. Tejal Brahmbhatt Awarded May Distinguished Faculty of the Month

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Tejal Brahmbhatt, MD, is May’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month.

Dr. Brahmbhatt is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, BUSM. His clinical and research interests include novel techniques in Trauma Surgery and Emergency General Surgery resource appropriation in an environment of dwindling resource allocation.

Dr. Brahmbhatt completed his internship at Washington University of St. Louis, residency in General Surgery at Vanderbilt University, and a Fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

The nomination states: “Dr. Brahmbhatt is very involved with the education of medical students at BUSM, serving as part of the Surgery Clerkship Leadership and the Clinical Curriculum Sub-Committees. He gives form talks as part of the third year surgery clerkship and informally through the Surgery enrichment activity for first and second years, all of which is very well received. He is always striving to get feedback from medical students and integrate that into his own teaching, both formal or informal.”

“He is always willing to offer guidance and wisdom to both medical students and residents.”

Congratulations!
