Mary Warner, MMSc, PA-C, will serve as chair of the board of directors of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) beginning in January 2017.

The founding director of BUSM’s PA Program and assistant professor of medicine, Warner has served on the NCCPA board since 2010, and previously chaired its Research & Test Development Committee. She is a member of the board’s nominating and compensation committees.

“The role of Certified PAs in the U.S. health care system has never been more important,” says NCCPA President and CEO Dawn Morton-Rias, EdD, PA-C. “As the PA profession continues to grow and evolve, under Mary’s leadership NCCPA will continue to promote lifelong learning and strong standards that ensure PAs are recognized as credible, qualified, indispensable members of the health care delivery team.”
