The roundtable has representation by the major pathology societies, such as the College of American Pathology, The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, The American Society of Clinical Pathology, The American Board of Pathology, The American Society of Investigative Pathology, the National Association of Medical Examiners, the Association of Directors of Academic Surgical Pathology, the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists, The Association of Pathology Informatics, and the American Society of Cytology. The roundtable meets on a regular basis to discuss issues that directly impact our discipline, so that a unified response may be developed. Dr. Remick assumed his duties as moderator in July, 2014 as a representative of the American Society for Investigative Pathology<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dr. Remick<\/span><\/b> moderated a session at the 2014 Association of Pathology Chairs Meeting \u201cAcademic Pathology 2020: Advancing Research Opportunities,\u201d in <st1:place><st1:city>Boston<\/st1:city>, <st1:state>MA<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>; July 8-11, 2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mark Wojnarowicz, PhD Candidate<\/span><\/b> in the Goldstein Lab, attended the 2014 National Neurotrauma Symposium in <st1:place><st1:city>San Francisco<\/st1:city><\/st1:place>, late June 2014. The course was originally created by Deborah Stearns-Kurosawa who will be stepping down. I will remain the new course co-director.<br \/>\nThis is a graduate level course which introduces basic concepts of pathology, including some essential histology. Additionally, all graduate students are required to attend our research seminars and prepare a written synopsis of 4 seminars. This allows the students to have their writing formally evaluated.
