The overall of goal of this research is to study the role of posttranslational modifications on VEGFR-2 in colon cancer. Angiogenesis inhibitors targeting the VEGF signaling pathway have been FDA approved for various cancer treatments. Although beneficial, patients inevitably develop resistance and often fail to demonstrate significantly better overall survival.
