The Department is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all clinical laboratory testing throughout BMC,<\/li>\n<li>assuring appropriate test reliability,<\/li>\n<li>specimen collection,<\/li>\n<li>reference laboratory referrals,<\/li>\n<li>result reporting,<\/li>\n<li>laboratory information systems,<\/li>\n<li>oversight for point-of-care testing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Department is divided into multiple sections each with its own medical director and technical supervisor.
