{"id":2488,"date":"2017-01-27T13:48:09","date_gmt":"2017-01-27T18:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/bumg\/?page_id=2488"},"modified":"2021-04-06T18:04:23","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T22:04:23","slug":"excellence-in-care-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/bumg\/awards\/excellence-in-care-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Excellence in Care Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This award is given annually by the Boston University Medical Group <span>to an early or mid-career clinician (1-15 years in practice) who demonstrates clinical excellence and is an exceptional role model for applying the BUMG core values in his\/her clinical work.<\/span> Award recipient will be designated as a member of the\u00a0BUMG Clinical Excellence Society.\u00a0 There are no restrictions on who may submit a nomination.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Early-career and mid-career clinicians only (1-15 years in practice)<\/li>\n<li>BUMG\u00a0\u00a0members with minimum one year of service<\/li>\n<li>Chairs are not eligible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recipients display the following characteristics in both patient care and care team interactions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exceptional medical knowledge and clinical acumen<\/li>\n<li>Exemplary relationships with both patients and clinical staff<\/li>\n<li>Unwavering commitment to care for all patients at all times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recipients are exceptional role models who embody the following\u00a0BUMG core values in their clinical work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Citizenship (including mentoring of trainees)<\/li>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Empathy<\/li>\n<li>Promotes Health Equity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions for Nominator:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please prepare a letter of nomination that addresses how the nominee meets the criteria for this award. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This award is given annually by the Boston University Medical Group to an early or mid-career clinician (1-15 years in practice) who demonstrates clinical excellence and is an exceptional role model for applying the BUMG core values in his\/her clinical work.
