Small Grant Award Recipient
Dr. Jennifer Lee, Instructor, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has received a small grant award to support the project entitled “Molecular Basis for Enteroendocrine Cell Dysfunction in Type 2 Diabetes”. Dr. Lee will work with the Center’s Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics Core using RNA sequencing to characterize novel transcriptional signatures from intestinal enteroendocrine cells in response to different dietary lipids. These studies may identify novel molecular gut-based targets with therapeutic potential to treat obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.
