• Title Postdoctoral Associate – Emili Lab
  • Office K323
  • Area of Interest Endogenous cellular metabolites

Suprama is studying the interaction of endogenous cellular metabolites and other bioactive small molecules with human proteins, including nuclear receptors which are master regulators of human cell gene expression that are linked to diverse human diseases and are important drug targets of broad interest to the biomedical research community. As a newly appointed Visiting Research Fellow now affiliated with the Merck Exploratory Science Center, Suprama is applying chemical proteomics methods to examine how the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the causative agent behind the COVID-19 pandemic, attacks human cells.
