Harris in the Department of Biochemistry at Boston University School of Medicine. I hold a B.Sc. Biochemistry from Queen Mary University of London, a M.Sc. from King’s College London and a Ph.D. from the School of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Glasgow, where I studied at the Institute for Translational Pharmacology under the guidance of Prof. Andrew B. Tobin and Prof. Graeme Milligan. During my doctoral work, I investigated the potential role of the M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor in misfolded protein propagation using primary neuronal cultures. My research at the Harris Lab is focused on Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and the E200K PrP mutation utilizing iPSC-derived cells and primary neuronal and astrocyte cultures.

<h4 class="bu_collapsible" aria-expanded="false"tabindex="0" role="button">Representative Publications

Ashraf A, Alepuz Guillen JA, Aljuhani M, Hubens C, So PW.
