As part of my Ph.D. study, I developed a nanoparticle-assisted MALDI-TOF MS method for simultaneous glycan separation and structural elucidation. This method was applied to structure analysis including isomeric differentiation of Lewis glycans and human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). I began my postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan in 2020. The goal of my postdoctoral fellowship was to resolve the structure of a low-molecular-weight heparin anticoagulant drug that was purified by a bioengineered vaccinium virus envelope protein. For selective enrichment of low-abundance endogenous porphyrins and N-linked glycopeptides, I also designed and fabricated different affinity probes decorated magnetic nanoparticles.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, I hold a postdoctoral associate position in Prof. Joseph Zaia&#8217;s laboratory. As of now, I am studying glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) using cyclic ion mobility mass spectrometry.
