{"id":14405,"date":"2019-04-25T11:36:50","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T15:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/biochemcellbio\/?p=14405"},"modified":"2026-01-07T15:14:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T20:14:19","slug":"russek-award-winners-in-biochemistry-laboratories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/biochemcellbio\/2019\/04\/25\/russek-award-winners-in-biochemistry-laboratories\/","title":{"rendered":"Russek Award Winners in Biochemistry Laboratories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Henry\u00a0I.\u00a0Russek Award Nominating Committee and the Russek Executive Committee would like to announce the winners of this year\u2019s Department of Biochemistry awards.\u00a0<span>\u00a0T<\/span>he honorable mention was awarded to Deborah Chang who is a student in Dr. Zaia\u2019s lab, second prize was awarded to Julia Hicks-Berthet who is a student in Dr. Varelas&#8217;s lab\u00a0and\u00a0the first prize was awarded to\u00a0Elena Stampouloglou, who is a student in Dr. Varelas&#8217;s lab.\u00a0 There is more great news for our department! \u00a0The first prize awardee for the Molecular &amp; Translational Medicine program is Rekha Raghunathan, a student in Dr. Zaia\u2019s lab and the first prize awardee for the Genetics &amp; Genomics program is Stefanie Chan, a student in Dr. Perissi\u2019s lab. \u00a0Congratulations to all of the awardees (and their mentors)!<\/p>\n<p>So, we&#8217;ll see you all this\u00a0<strong>Friday,\u00a0April<\/strong><strong> 26th<\/strong>\u00a0in Hiebert Lounge for\u00a0Henry I.
