The UP is effective for a wide range of co-occurring disorders such as anxiety and mood disorders. It is based on cognitive behavioral principles and utilizes an emotion-focused approach to help patients learn how to react to uncomfortable emotions in a more helpful and adaptive way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Group psychotherapy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The curriculum includes a variety of evidenced-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing.
