Healthy Survivor Study

Researchers at Boston University are seeking lesbian and bisexual breast cancer survivors who were diagnosed between 2000 & 2005 to participate in the “Healthy Survivors” study.

We are trying to understand breast cancer survivors’ well-being and factors that impact it. Sexual orientation is one of the demographic factors we will examine in an effort to better understand its impact on breast cancer survivors’ well-being.

To accomplish this we will conduct a 4-year study that entails two phases, a data collection and an intervention phase. In the first phase, we will collect data on women with breast cancer to assess quality of life and the factors thought to impact it. The results of the study will provide necessary knowledge to inform programs and services for breast cancer survivors.
