Borrowed Belongings Program
Members of the BMC/BUMC community may participate in the TranSComm borrowed belongings program!
Is it Raining Cats and Dogs?
Bostonians can’t always depend on meteorologists. Clouds roll in, the skies open up and the rain pours down. TranSComm wants to help keep cyclists and walkers dry if they need to walk home or take the MBTA. Cyclists may leave their bikes on campus and head over to TranSComm office to borrow an umbrella. Borrowing an umbrella is free, we just ask for your contact information and that you return the umbrella within 48 hours.
Forgot Your Bike Lock?
With hundreds of cyclists subscribing to use the bike cages, TranSComm realizes that someone is bound to forget their bike lock. Cyclists may borrow a bike lock for up to 48 hours after providing their ID number and a photocopy of their BU/BMC ID at our TranSComm office during business hours.
Bored on the MBTA? Borrow A Book!
The TranSComm Reading and Riding Library has a collection of books for public transit users. The library is located in the lobby of our office located at 710 Albany St. Commuters may borrow a book for however long they need to read it. We practice the honor system, but we do ask that you provide your name and contact information on the log that is located next to the books.
Have a book to donate? Drop them off at TranSComm!
