Postdoctoral Position - Cell Morphogenesis

A post-doctoral position is available in the Stem Cell and Lung Development Program at the Boston University Pulmonary Center to investigate molecular mechanisms regulating epithelial cell morphogenesis during lung development. In particular we study the mechanisms that control plasma membrane production, delivery, polarization and cytoskeletal remodeling of alveolar epithelial cells during formation of the alveolar sacs. Candidates must be highly motivated, have a strong background in molecular biology and cell imaging, and an interest in mammalian developmental biology. A PhD or MD degree, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are required. Applicants should email current curriculum vitae, a cover letter describing past research experience and the name and contact information of three references to Maria I. Ramirez, PhD, mramirez@bu.edu.
