Post-doctoral Research Fellowship and Laboratory Technicians
The Kotton lab considers requests from highly motivated individuals desiring to work in a very collaborative environment. We welcome inquiries from laboratory technicians as well as post-doctoral fellows.
Post-doctoral research fellowship is currently available in our growing and exciting stem cell laboratory in the Pulmonary Center at the Boston University School of Medicine. Our projects employ embryonic stem cells and are designed to advance the basic understanding of lung epithelial development, as well as the treatment of acute lung injury. The models used in our projects are cell culture, genetically engineered mice, and models of acute lung injury (such as bleomycin and hyperoxic injury).
Fellows will join the planned launch of our campus’s stem cell initiative, and successful fellows will be mentored towards application for funding as Principal Investigators and faculty positions. Familiarity with developmental biology, stem cell biology, or basic gene transcription pathways (e.g. canonical wnt signaling) are a plus. This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in developing an independent research career in stem cell biology. Candidates must have a PhD degree, experience in molecular biology, and should be highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment.
