Psychology Internship (CMTP)

The Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology (CMTP), at Boston Medical Center and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) and subscribers to the national matching service, under the umbrella of the Center for Multicultural Mental Health (CMMH).

At CMTP, our aim is to train and develop future leaders in the field of Psychology consistent with the American Psychological Association (APA) Mentored Practitioner-Scientist model.  We mainly emphasize culturally competent and community-oriented approaches to psychological practice.  Social Justice and multiculturalism emphasis is weaved throughout the program clinical training, didactics, mentoring, and supervision. Over 300 persons have received training within the program, either as pre-doctoral interns or postdoctoral fellows.  Of these, 85% have been individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups.  Interns have been accepted from graduate programs in 42 states and 5 countries other than the U.S. To learn more about CMTP, click here.
