Global and Local Center for Mental Health Disparities Helps Support Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia

In mid-November 2017, Drs. Henderson, Borba, Durham and Gutner travelled to Bogota, Colombia where they are working to establish a collaboration with Universidad de los Andes and its teaching hospital, Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota. This growing collaboration seeks to identify and implement collaborative teaching initiatives including the development of a psychiatry residency program at the Universidad de los Andes, providing opportunities for a medical student exchange program, and opportunities for research collaborations particularly around trauma.
