NICHD ARRA 2 year R01 “Olivocerebellar Circuitry in Autism” 9/1/09-8/31/11 (G.J. Blatt, P.I.) $1,520,000.  The glutamate system in the cerebellum in post-mortem tissue from adult subjects diagnosed with autism compared to age-, gender- and post-mortem-interval matched controls is examined quantitatively via in situ hybridization, ligand binding, and immunocytochemical techniques. Results will be statistically compared to medical history autism diagnostic index scores for core autism behaviors.
