Raymond James, RN, BS Discusses Parkinson’s Support Groups with APDA

Raymond James, RN, BS, Nurse Specialist from the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Boston University Medical Campus, recently spoke with Dr. Rebecca Gilbert from the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) and several other support group facilitators about the importance of support groups in the lives of people with PD. Mr. James is the support group facilitator for the popular Parkinson’s Support Group in Beverly, MA. He shared his insights about the benefits of education and psycho-social support in a group setting. The discussion was written into a post for Dr. Gilbert’s “A Closer Look” blog, which aims to address topics related to Parkinson’s for individuals with PD across the country.
