LEAVING SCHOOL

EXIT COUNSELING: If you have borrowed an institutional and/or federal loan, you are required to attend Exit Counseling before graduation. The Exit Counseling session is designed to help you understand your debt portfolio, deferment options, your repayment rights, responsibilities, schedules, and other loan requirements. You must schedule an appointment for one of these sessions in person at the Office of Student Financial Services at least a week in advance.

REFUND AND REPAYMENT POLICY: At the time a student withdraws, takes a leave of absence, or separates for any other reason from the School of Public Health, the student’s account will be reviewed and adjusted according to the University’s Refund Policy. Federal regulations require that refunds be made within 30 days and returned in this order: Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Direct Subsidized Loan, Perkins, HEAL, state, institutional, private, and last to the student.

If you have any inquiries, comments or suggestions, please send an
email to Office of Student Financial Services.
