CALIFORNIA
| Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara Scholarships are available to applicants who attended at least grades 11-12 in Santa Barbara County and graduated from a Santa Barbara County high school. Adult re-entry students who have resided in Santa Barbara for at least the last three years as a non-student may also be eligible to apply. Applicants must be full-time medical or graduate students. Areas of study include medicine, dentistry, and a variety of Master’s and PhD programs. The application deadline is January 31. | Jewish Community Endowment Fund Scholarship – Jewish men and women who are residents of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma or the Peninsula can apply for grants up to $1,800. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Funds can be used for tuition payments, for living expenses while attending a tuition-free program, for equipment, or testing fees. | The Horace Wells Club Dental Student Scholarship The Horace Wells Club invites dental students who are residents of Connecticut to apply for their 2008-2009 Dental Student Scholarship program. Naurison Scholarship Fund is available to residents of and Enfield and Suffield, CT, and Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties in MA; The scholarship was established by Dr. Naurison, a cardiologist who practiced in Springfield for 56 years after emigrating from Russia in 1891. | Delaware Academy of Medicine – Low interest loans, ranging from $4,000 to $8,000, are available to applicants studying dentistry. Eligible candidates must have resided in Delaware for at least one year prior to a May 15th deadline, be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents, and have at least one year of residency in the state of Delware. FLORIDA
| Florida Dental Association The Florida Dental Association makes loans available to any dental student who has successfully completed one academic year in any dental college in the U.S. Loan recipients must be members of the American Student Dental Association and residents of Florida for the three years prior to the application for the loan.Academic standing, financial need and potential will be considered in granting a loan. Preference is given to applicants who are committed to practicing in an under-served area. An official transcript must be submitted with the application.
Loans may not exceed $15,000 per applicant with $5,000 yearly limits.

| Rotary Club of Boston Student Aid Program – The program makes loans to students in their last two years of graduate education. Students must be under thirty years of age and residents of Massachusetts; length of residence is taken into consideration. A 48-month payback begins six months after completing school or upon termination of full-time status; interest is 3% compounded annually. MISSOURI
| The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis – An interest-free loan is available to students who demonstrate financial need and are permanent residents of St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Franklin County, Jefferson County, Lincoln County, St. Charles County or Warren County in Missouri or the Illinois counties of Clinton, Jersey, Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair for at least two years prior to the date of application. A student may borrow up to $6,000 per academic year. Five year repayment begins 12 months after graduation.Applications, renewable annually, are available twice a year (January 1st – April 15th to be considered for an annual award for a subsequent academic year) and August 1st – November 15th (for second semester funding). NORTH CAROLINA
| Student Loan Program for Health, Science and Mathematics – Legal residents of North Carolina enrolled full-time in approved programs of study may borrow from $3,000 to $8,500 per year depending on degree level. Four percent interest accrues while the recipient is in school and 10% to 15% interest is assessed during repayment, depending on repayment circumstances. Award recipients are chosen according to major, academic capabilities, and financial need.
