ANNOUNCEMENT – SETTLEMENT DATE – 2003
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!!!
As the fall semester draws to a close, we would like to remind you that the spring 2003 settlement deadline is December 19, 2002. If you have not paid in full or documented how spring semester tuition and fees will be paid, you will be assessed a late settlement fee beginning December 20th. If you have educational loans or other financial assistance in process that did not appear on your semester invoice as a pending credit, you should write in the deduction on your invoice, attach documentation and send your invoice with any payment due after deductions to Student Accounting Services.
Spring semester loan disbursements are expected to be received just before classes begin. Under federal regulation, spring semester financial aid proceeds cannot be released/refunded/advanced until the semester has officially begun (January 6th for MED and SDM, January 13th for SPH). However, we will begin accepting credit release and loan advance requests on January 2nd.
If you will be away at the start of the semester (i.e. APEX Program, rotations, etc.) and expect a private loan check, please contact Mr. Dan Low in the Financial Affairs Office via e-mail at dlow@bu.edu to request the check to be mailed to you and to provide your current mailing address. Otherwise, check signing hours in OSFS will remain Tuesday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Please call OSFS at 617/638-5130 or 877/776-6243 (toll free) or visit us in room A-401 if you have questions regarding this information. We will continue our normal business hours (Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) through Monday, December 23rd. We will be open Tuesday, December 24th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The office will then be closed for intersession until 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2nd.
Happy New Year to all!
Cordially,
The Office of Student Financial Services
