REFUND CHECKS/FUNDS FOR LIVING EXPENSES
CREDIT RELEASE REQUEST: If you have a credit remaining on your account after all promissory notes and loan checks have been signed and posted to your account, you should submit a Credit Release Voucher to the Office of Student Financial Services (OSFS). After approval by OSFS, Student Accounting Services will process the Voucher and send you a check within eleven to fifteen business days.
OSFS realizes that you may need funds immediately for living expenses. Hence, we provide an interest free Credit Advance that enables the University to issue you a check within approximately five business days for a maximum of two month’s living expenses.
You may request a Check Advance, also from OSFS, up to $700. You may only have two Check Advances per semester. You can redeem the Check Advance Voucher at your convenience but within a week at the Cashier’s Office, lower level of 881 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
You are eligible for a Credit and/or Check Advance only if you are officially registered and you have sufficient loans approved for disbursement to repay the advance.
These interest-free short-term Advances are charged to your student account.
