Interview Day / Evening

Early every January, interview day is held at the BU School of Medicine. Between 700-900 applicants apply each year and a select number are offered an interview with the program. The Chairman, Dr. Scott Duncan and the Program Director, Dr. Paul Tornetta, III introduce the applicants to the program with moving presentations and lectures; the Chief’s are assigned to groups for guided tours of the school, medical center, and facilities. Continental breakfast and lunch are┬áprovided as applicants mingle with residents during the day. Over 20 faculty members participate in the interview process which ends late afternoon. That evening a welcome reception is held in Boston as a relaxed time to mix and mingle with the current residents and faculty.
