His clinical interests in the shoulder focus on rotator cuff disorders, instability problems, and injuries to the overhead athlete, as well as open reconstructive procedures, with a strong interest in humeral head resurfacing and arthroplasty of the shoulder for arthritic conditions.  He has a strong clinical research interest in the knee, including the cartilage disorders, cartilage restoration, multiple ligament injuries, and a strong expertise in patellofemoral disorders, in which he has written extensively.  Other areas of clinical expertise include tendon ruptures, particularly the pectoralis major and hamstrings, and biological and prosthetic resurfacing procedures for cartilage and arthritic disorders in the shoulder and knee.

Dr. Schepsis is considered one of the leading clinicians in the field of Sports Medicine and has been named to the “Best Doctors in America” for the last eight years as well as being named a top doctor by Boston Magazine.
