Welcome to the website of the Office of Sponsored Programs of Boston University Medical Campus. As part of President Robert A. Brown’s all-University organization of research administration, we have a new name consistent with our Charles River Campus partner. These changes are designed to take advantage of the strengths of the entire University, better serve faculty and research staff, and assure compliance with financial and regulatory processes. We hope these pages keep you abreast of policy, practice, and news, and we encourage you to contact us for any matter involving sponsored research.
OSP-MED supports and assists members of the Boston University Medical Campus community in the identification of sponsored funding opportunities, review of proposals, and drafting and negotiation of sponsored agreements. OSP-MED also reviews awards, maintaining the integrity of compliances and administering the research through closeout. OSP-MED is the home base and steward of all medical campus research administration, pre- and post-award, from submitting an application through closeout of the award.
OSP-MED also partners with Research Accounting, of the Office of Cost Compliance, which manages financial duties during the life cycle of an award. Research Accounting manages research costs and research accounting attributable to awards for both BU campuses.
My office is committed to working effectively with principal investigators, departmental administrators and others to ensure granting agency requirements are met and to serve the research mission of Boston University Medical Campus.
