Student National Medical Association Annual Meeting
April 13 – 15, 2006 Atlanta, Georgia
Eleven students from BUSM attended the Annual Meeting of the Student National Medical Association, the largest and oldest minority medical student association in the United States. The students attended plenary sessions, workshops, banquets and perhaps even a party or two. Two students from BUSM were elected to the regional board: Terese Watkins was elected to be Regional Secretary and Chantale Murray was elected to the position of Regional Political Advocacy Liaison.

Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association New England Regional Conference (APAMSA)
The APAMSA New England Regional Conference was held at Boston University School of Medicine on Saturday April 8, 2006. The theme of this year’s conference was “Creating Competency: Taking Steps Towards Eliminating Health Disparities” and was attended by 100 students and faculty from around New England. The students attended plenary sessions, work shops, conducted a bone marrow identification drive and attended a party or two in the evening.
