The Search for Housing
Off-Campus
- Read the Housing Resource Guide, located on the main page, to learn about the city and determine on which neighborhood you will focus your search. Living closest to the Medical Campus is not always the best option. Look through the Housing Experiences Forum to see what other students have said about neighborhoods, landlords, realtors, and web resources.
- Review BU affiliated housing options, located in the menu below, if you are interested in living in BU-provided housing.
- Review the OHR’s list of available rental units in the greater Boston area.
- Check out the section below on area buildings and complexes. Contact them if you think they offer you what you need.
- Look over the Craig’s List postings and roommate situations that we’ve included on the site. If they are expired or outdated, conduct your own Craig’s List or online resource search. We have additional recommendations for doing so below.
- Contact a local real estate agent. They may charge you a realty fee, but they can also sometimes show you a lot of apartments in a short period of time.
